PoE 2 sizes of zones and lack of direction

I have completed the 3 available acts 3 times now and my biggest issues is the zone design. There are very few linear zones and instead they are mostly wide open areas or large mazes and a major issue is a lack of tells where you should be heading.

I found myself frustratingly often having to backtrack and hug every wall to find a specific objective or exit. Sometimes I would even have the area explored so that there's no blue indicator of a missed spot on the map but I still missed an exit because the vicinity in which it appears on the map is extremely short, even shorter than the usual discovery distance.

I think the distance in which exits and objectives become visible on the map should be dramatically increased. The distance should be 3 to 5 times larger than what it is now. I do not mind having to explore the areas but I should not have to systematically hug every wall to make sure I do not miss a spot and have to backtrack through an entire area that takes 15 minutes to traverse.

Zones are way too large, and there's a crippling lack of mobility in the game to traverse quickly.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish.
