PC Freeze/Crash

I just wanted to add my own info to the "known issues".

System Overview:
- 32gb ram
- AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
- NVidia RTX 3070; driver version 566.36
- 1440p 144hz monitor
- Win 11 Pro; build 26100.2454
- No overclocking on anything.
- Power mode: Performance

I'm not sure about others, but the issue I've experienced is that, sometimes, when I try to load a new zone my PC would freeze up. I initially tried lowering the graphics, assuming it was a graphic issue, to use less than 2.4gb of VRAM, however that did not resolve the issue.

The way i've been able to get around it is by going into process details -> Affinity -> untick core 1 to 2. This has allowed the game to periodically lag, freeze up and crash without taking my entire system down. Another thing I noticed is that when I opened up spotify/had spotify playing, while in-game, my system immediately hung up and froze as soon as i attempted a zone switch. The in-game performance graph seems to spike to 100% CPU utilization just before crash. There might be some conflict between spotify Hardware acceleration and (maybe) POE multithreading.

I also apologise for making late post on known issue, I just never looked into how to submit feedback/bug report until now because this has become a critical issue for my PC. I hope my feedback helps in resolving this issue! Thanks for all your hard work.

have same issues, will try your metod, but it looks like problem with widows version.

The same has happened to me multiple times when entering new zones from the Hub area in Act II. This happened a few times when I would defeat a boss in different areas in Act II, and I would want to TP back to the hub area.

First time today, got to the hub area for Act III and tried to enter a new area and computer froze. I also had the task manager up, and saw that my CPU percentage reach 100% when it freezes.

Have to force restart my PC.

i noticed its when ever i update windows poe 2 totally freezes when ever i load my character to the game

Things that might fix it
resting on the character select menu untill CPU usage is starting to go down from 100% and then press choose

I have the same issue here. From time to time my PC freezes either after pressing Play during the loading screen or when loading a new area, forcing me to turn it off because I can't access the OS. The computer acts as if it's overwhelmed: my cursor moves extremely slowly, and pressing anything on the taskbar or anywhere else doesn't seem to register.

Same issue here.

* Tried to change maps, the mouse will slow down and all system will freeze. A PC Hard reset is needed.

It's becoming impossible to play, hope you guys can solve the issue.

Same issue. Tried all the online fixes. No use. Game might not crash while using DX11 or unchecking the multithread, but I cannot play the game at 10fps.

Sad. Was fine for first 60 levels. Now the game is literally unplayable. $30 btw

Same here. Pc got freezes on map loading screen.

After reducing CPUs cores from task manager it occurs more often but I am able to shut down game without restart PC.

It occurs more often in act 3 (1/2 loading screens).
In previous acts it was like once per 2-3 hours.
Quality setting do not change anything. Happen in steam and separate launcher.
