Sanctum/Trial of Sekhema
" Chill. Ascendency is suppose to be something that happens when you complete a monumental challenge, it's what adds to the point of ascending being this BIG thing with BIG passives you get. A character defining moment. Git gud |

I don't have the issue with the Ascendency Trials themselves - I have an issue with the variety offered to ascend.
Ultimatum and Sanctum are 2 of the least liked mechanics in POE 1. Sure, they still have their fans, but we need options. Rather than just whine about what is, my suggestion is keep things as they are, but add MORE content and let players CHOOSE. What do I mean? For Trial of the Sekhema, we have Sanctum. Lets also convert a form of Delve as a trial. And let players choose which they want to take on to ascend. For the Trial of Chaos, we have Ultimatum. Lets also convert Incursion to a trial, because it fits in with the Vaal theme and players need to try to make it to the top of the Pyramid to ascend, and as an idea, we can make it linear and all boss battles (10 in all) to make it to the end and ascend. Point is, I don't hate the CONCEPT - but the lack of OPTIONS is the problem. We need more league content as options to ascend. Forcing people into the 2 least popular is bad design. |

I played up to the 3rd level of Sekema's Trial.
It takes time every time, and the gimmicks become more and more tedious as the level goes up, so I'm fed up with it. And in boss battles, unless I kill the boss with an abnormal DPS, even if I have honor resistance on all sockets, I will lose honor quickly due to wide-range attacks and it will be game over. Even with resistance, the damage of honor against ranged classes is too high. An hour wasted. I still haven't gotten 6 points of ascendancy. I'm fed up with it. Get rid of honor now! |
