im using it and it's so brutal .

They really screwed up the control's of this game it's like they are trying to force us into WASD garbage , i can't stand it .

Some tips to make it ( slightly ) better

Options - interface - gameplay Enabel ATTACK IN PLACE KEY STOP MOVEMENT

Open your skill menue click the little arrow next to he DPS number of a skill , then at the bottom select "always attack without moving " .

Hope this helps
Just a sec let me grab a beer...@#*@ Ok how did I die this time

Learn the rules, it's the only way to exploit them.
Yep because WASD does not belong in an isometric ARPG / Diablo Like.

But mostly because since D1, for 28 years, its all I have known.
I'm done buying anything until we get some clarity on the future of POE1 and POE2 and I know GGG plans to spend effort on a game I want to play.

Tell us if POE1 still has your top tier support or if POE2 will get a mode for more casual play.
Mouse click because then I only need to use one hand to play so I can keep the other hand on my diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiik
WASD feels amazing. It's the future of the genre. I don't think I can go back to playing old ARPGs now with their clunky movement. Click to move actually seems stupid now in hindsight. The game's difficulty was clearly based around using WASD and they probably shouldn't have even included a click to move option, because I think that's exactly what's tripping so many people up. If you chose click to move at the beginning because it's what you're used to from PoE or other ARPGs and you're finding the game way too hard, I can pretty much guarantee that's why. The future is now, adapt or die. The idea of playing a merc and not being able to shoot while moving backwards is actually hilarious. Bind your potions to your back and forward mouse buttons if that helps, it did for me.
I am. And I don't find it that hard
WASD mode is bugged and locks up my mouse. The game treats my keyboard like a controller and the mouse dissapears.

Path of Exile gamers are really a wholly different breed. What has years of boom boom walking simulator starter builds done to your brains?

Haven't found mouse controll too much of an issue so far. Only played melee, so for ranged I'll probably give WASD a shot. All options that are included need to be viable and if there's something that is making one not, or significantly less viable, that issue needs to be fixed by the game not by the player. Say if there are different animation cancel timings for each input, they need to be the same or be perceived as the same regardless. Also I've already forgotten any quirks that there were with mouse control, you learn and internalize them pretty quick.

I wouldn't be surprised if the initial option was removed and it just defaulted to click to move by the time the game launches, because for both to truly be viable they'd need to have completely different difficulty levels. It's like saying the latest Call of Duty needs to be playable with mouse movement or keyboard aiming like shooters from the 90s. Simply splitting movement and aiming between two hands instead of just one is a huge advantage and there's no getting around that.

If you're having no problems with click to move that's great, you're probably a skilled ARPG gamer, but people who are struggling with it shouldn't be mad that the skill ceiling got raised and it's now far above them. That's a positive development for the series and the genre in general.
