Eldritch Battery bug

"
Do the nodes that increase the energy shield gained from certain items (foci) trigger before the conversion of ES to Mana from eldrich battery?

Because that would be one way to stack massive amounts of mana.

These increases aren't global but specific to an item.

I would assume it goes like this:

100 es on a foci. => 150% increased es gained from foci. => 250 es gained on character => converted to mana.

Or is it this:

100 es on a foci. => 100 es gained on character from foci => es converted to mana => 150% increased es from the foci (but its 0 now because its mana).

These are important questions Mark!

This is my main question as well! With `Eldritch Battery`, I also take `Dreamcatcher`, with the intention of getting high flat ES along with high %ES on my foci.

Is this working the way I think it is, where the %ES increase applies to the items, which THEN gets converted into mana? @Mark_GGG#0000

Everlasting Gaze is kinda useless on Archmage mana stacking then...

I'm only a baby Archmage myself, but my understanding is that with MoM EB your first and last layer of defense is having mana, lots of it. Adding any Armour or Eva that could be instead have been ES (mana) and give you damage and 'hp' doesn't make sense.

Gaze lets you gain a quarter of that whole bunch of mana as extra ES, that's a lot of extra HP for a minimal investment in some ES recharge node on the tree. The only real downside is the loss of Spirit and res from the amulet slot.

Maybe if I get to 10k+ mana eventually maybe I'll consider it. Right now me at 4k mana the ES barely recharges when I get tickled by mobs like its not even there, I'd rather have the mods on a 50 ex rare amulet than a 50 ex everlasting gaze with the way it works right now
How does EB interact with Eternal Youth keystone?

I mean it says life flask heals ES, while EB says ES is mana. Is EB+Youth Life flask a better mana flask?

Hey. Answer is no. Not even this... Not working with EB. Tried with a helmet and the "Illuminated crown" node, but it reads the same as for focus. No change : only base stat on helmet is converted to mana.

Ahah my plan was to do a billion damage with "Arcane Intensity" close to EB, while being immortal... Must be why conversion works this way ^^' The madness of conceiving this tree... congratz and thx GGG ^^

will "increased energy shield from equipped focus" for example work before mana conversion ?
This is disappointing and majorly confusing. What's the point of the ES nodes around it, especially Patient Barrier?

This is correct. Converting in PoE2 happens "before" % modifiers, and converted stats only benefit from modifeirs to what they are, not what they used to be.

If you convert your Energy Shield to Mana, then it is Mana, and increases to Mana apply to it, not increases to Energy Shield.

The description is wrong then. It says "Converts all ES to mana".

`all` doesn't mean `base` (before % increases) which is what actually gets converted.
