POE2 Bloodmage crash critical hit
For what it is worth, +1 to this issue myself. However it seems to only be related to the Life Remnants skill Bloodmage provides. I have a level 70 something Invoker Monk and haven't crashed a single time on it. Played through 23 levels of Witch and didn't crash. Ascended to Bloodmage and took Life Remnants skill, immediately started crashing randomly upon getting hit. I unspecced Life Remnants and played a few hours more without a single crash, so I am pretty confident that in my case it was because of Life Remnants. I do not know how to do all of the logging stuff everyone else is, otherwise I would post mine as well.

Started crashing frequently as soon as I ascended to Bloodmage. It doesn't seem very consistent, however. Maybe only some enemies trigger the crashes? It feels like some calculation error related to Sanguimancy. My client log after crashing during Jamanra fight:

Same here. It definitely seems to be related to being hit/crit as a Bloodmage. For clarity, though, I played through the whole campaign as a blood mage with Bonestorm and only had 1-2 crashes total.
Then after the campaign, I respecced into fireball and immediately started getting these crashes on hit. I wonder if it has something to do with a Bloodmage being crit while the enemy is ignited or something similar? Same as above, I'm seeing the following in the logs: " |

I noticed in this video that you're using Dusk Vigil. I switched to that when I moved from phys spells to fireball, and that's when the crashes started.
I just ran around with my old weapon on and couldn't get a stun to crash me, then swapped to Dusk Vigil and had it happen. Hard to prove the negative, but that feels pretty suspicious. Here's a vid, crash happens at the end: https://youtu.be/NBoGYc9X3A8 |

Same here, my lowbie alt (lvl 30 quarterstaff sorc) is crash free, and so was my blood mage even after ascending, crashes only started literally when I introduced some fire spells into the build.

I have the same thing happening to me, my friend plays a Witch Hunter, I'm playing a Blood Mage, right after we got out second set of Ascendancy skill points I started crashing upon taking heavy hits as well. Any time my friend was in the same map as me when I crashed he also would crash. Mainly the crashes would happen upon taking large amounts of damage in a short time.

I also switched my primary to Dusk Vigil around the time I got my second set of Ascendancy points, and after un-equiping that the crashing finally stopped. So possibly this is a problem with Blood Mage and Dusk Vigil or just fire spells in general??? I honestly never would've thought it was the weapon itself it's only thanks to this post that I managed to find what was causing my problem. |
