Scattershot support gem not shooting full amount

I am using scattershot on Molten Blast with 2x 1h maces. Molten blast says that while dual wielding we shoot 2 projectiles out of each mace. I added scattershot support into Molten Blast which says it adds 2 additional Projectiles. So Molten Blast should be shooting out 8 projectiles right now and it is only shooting out 6.


Update: I just thought about the idea that it only adds 2 projectiles total to the skill, which would make it 6, however i would think it would apply to both maces since Molten Blast applies to both maces.
