Unable to Ascend: Quest Item missing

On quest Ascent to Power.

Went to Traitors passage and killed Balbala the Traitor

Did not pick up quest item and logged out

Can no longer get quest item to progress. I have re-killed Balbala several times and the quest item will not re-drop.

Hi I have buddy with this same issue. I don't believe he pciked up the coin after defeated Balbala. Now he can't enter the Trial of Shkemeas. Im assuming it's a bug. hopefully GGG fixes it asap. He is unable to ascend his mercenary.

Hello! I would like to up this issue, I just got the same problem, the item was supposed to drop, I killed Balbala the Traitor, the sound effect of the quest item dropping worked but the item didn't drop at all. Pressing alt don't show anything exepted all the equipements but the quest item, that's a real issue for my main character and it is very discouraging, I didn't planned to switch class right now

I can only hope the dev get us a solution to fix this issue
