Melee attacks cancel if you "tap" buttons near enemies

BUG: For some reason if you TAP a melee attack button near enemies, or surrounded by enemies and body blocked, it will often "cancel" the attack request.. not because you were stunned, just because it wants to cancel.
However, if you HOLD the melee attack, it will "power through" and continue finishing the attack.. I think this is a HUGE part of why players (who are tappers not holders) find melee very hard. Please, make it so tapping a melee button acts like you held it... (i recommend a setting for two mouse modes, "directional" = attack continues in the direction initiated, and "guided" = attack follows mouse poiter location. Controller is always guided.
