The King in the Mist [Freythorn] Quest wont complete

So I've tried multiple times now to complete this quest. Upon killing the Mist King he won't drop the quest reward (+30 spirit). I'm unable to advance my skills due to this as my level 5 skills require 30 spirit, I have 0. It lets me purchase items from his ritual but nothing else. Won't grey the map icon out as well. I've tried resetting, coming back. Still does same thing.

Is this right?

Ok so i finally got it to work. So originally I attempted the quest in a party. Game crashed during the fight although completed boss it didnt drop the gloombell reward... After logging back in i tried multiple times solo the quest and no matter it never dropped the reward after every kill.. I wondered if I had to have the same party member as originally attempted. ONCE I regrouped with the party member from the FIRST attempt, it then allowed me to complete the quest and dropped the reward. Not sure if this is a type of bug? But thought i should bring this to your attention
