Ancestral empowerment not working with earthquake

As the title says, Ancestral empowerment, from the titan ascendancy,doesn't seem to be working with earthquake.
Reading the description one would understand that skills used by totems dont work, but casting earthquake myself doesn't seem to proc it.
No problems with rolling strike, and doesn't seem to be a visual thing onky since the area doesn't change.
Sorry if i misunderstood something and its working as intended
