Game was designed for WASD - Make this clearer when picking control system
I'm an avid ARPGer and for all my life I have been a keyboard and mouse user. Never wanted to or used WASD as an option for movement.
Started POE2 and the game felt sluggish, weird "slide" when attacking an enemy and then clicking to move away. Asked in chat and was told that WASD improves this issue. So I swapped over and I realised that this game is 100% designed for WASD movement, not for mouse and keyboard. Being able to walk backwards and continue to cast using WASD makes you realise this is how the game is meant to be played. You literally can not have the same level of control with K&M. This needs to be massively highlighted. The burrower for example was so much harder just because the controls felt unresponsive. Killed various mini map bosses with WASD and it's night and day play. Easily able to avoid attacks and continue attacking. Last bumped on Dec 8, 2024, 6:17:13 AM

" a friend of mine does too and he is simply in love with it. I however use m/k, tried WASD and the movement did not feel natural at all. Have no issue with m/k so i can't support the notion that the game was created around WASD. If anything it was created around controller. |

The "Always attack without moving" option does not work as POE 1 if you attack while moving, i.e. you stop and attack.

+1 on this and I've submitted a similar feedback suggestion.
The ability to continuously move and attack / strafe / dance / circle strafe is critical to success in this game, and is a very different tactic compared to almost all other games in the genre atm. |

Agree with OP. WASD is the only way to play with just challenging content.

I tried WSAD and I did not liked it. Went back to mouse + kb and it plays much better for me.
