At least 3 Invoker Ascendancy nodes are completely dead or even negative - including "big" ones.

-"...and Scatter Them to the Winds"

This is a "final" node and gives Elemental Expression. This does absolutely no damage. It triggers on crit and does like 65 damage at gem level 11. Meanwhile, my melee attack hits for 600 damage unlinked and it attacks way faster.

-"Lead me through Grace..."

This gives Spirit based on the Evasion and Energy shield on your Body Armor, but stops you from getting Spirit from equipment. With the current BEST Eva/ES armor on the market, this gives a meagre 30 spirit. Meanwhile, one Spirit roll on your Body Armor can go up to 50 at least. This means that this node in many scenarios is actually REMOVING POWER FROM YOUR CHARACTER.

-"...and I shall Rage"

Maybe not completely dead, but extremely poor and not worth taking over the "minor" nodes you pass through on your way there.


So as you can see, right now it makes more sense for an Invoker to take all of the "minor" nodes and skip the big ones. Maybe "...and Protect me from Harm" could be worth it, but you need to pass through the Spirit one to get to it.
