Act 2 Fire damage is basically unplayable.

Guys, wait till you hear about Ice skills, do I have a good one for you.

The only usable stuff as sorc is lightning and it is very sad.

this is insane how weak fire skills are.

incinerate issues:

1. Why does incinerate not benefit from firewall
2. its fire penetration is worthless, as it cannot over-penetrate into the negatives, and there seems to be no way to enable this.
3. it does not spawn raging spirits. this should be spawning using the same rules as other AOE spells.
4. Its damage on its tool tip is wrong. it does not deal the DPS it details. it deals about 10-20% of what is detailed on the tool tip. tested this using firebolt. it details 150 dps on the incinerate tool tip. fire bolt deals 30 damage per cast. hit a target with a single firebolt and did 20% of its life. it took two seconds for incinerate to deal 20% of the same targets HP pool.

Flame wall: No major issues. Needs the ability to be default centered on the PC on controller. maybe implement a hold toggle for self casting. joystick targeting is a joke.

Solar Orb - Needs its damage increased substantially.

Incinerate isn't a projectile so it doesn't benefit from flame wall. It does have the aoe tag so I'm surprised it doesn't spawn raging spirits.

I'm not sure what you mean by 2. Are you talking about the exposure? The tier 2 support Strip Away increases exposure by 30%, and there's some support on the passive tree. As far as I know exposure should be able to bring resistances to negative.
Yeah, incinerate tooltip is just flat wrong.

It should be supremely melting everything, instead it tickles everything....
In addition to the issues discussed is that in the passive skill tree incinerate just doesn’t show up. According to the skill tree nothing effects incinerate, hard to make it effective for damage.

The funniest part is firestorm somehow doesn't work with elemental discharge.

You know, the big "fire payoff" spell. The one that for some reason is limited to only one instance now and from the looks of things has a lower accuracy rating than it used to have.

What the hell are you talking about? I've respecced to frost sorc at the end of act 3 EZ because lightning totally sucked DPS wise.

Even though I had to run on only one 4-link until the mid of act 3, act 1 - 3 cruel was such a cakewalk for most of the time, that it was almost boring. Speed is relatively slow, but the damage and defensive capabilities are great, provided you're combining skills.
My first char was a full fire sorc and is in maps. I'll tell you incinerate is straight up trash, do not use it.

Incinerate makes 0 sense as a skill. It's supposed to be a combo with its fire exposure... except exposure lasts 4 seconds and incinerate is SLOW. Am I supposed to charge up a full incinerate every 4 seconds while using other skills and dodging attacks? So I can enjoy a second or two of exposure on the enemy? Damage which I've already lost from USING INCINERATE? Not going to happen.

Fire wall - Strong in acts, not so useful later on.

Ember fusillade - Your only real single target damage option.

Solar orb - Terrible in acts, okay once you get fire exposure because it ignites automatically in a decent area, and combos with flameblast (maybe the really viable fire skill).

Fireball - Okay if you do the whole combo with wildshards and other supports, but it's very terrain dependent and mana hungry then, and even so it's clunky and not insane damage. Generally bad single target, and fire doesn't need more AOE.

Firestorm - My favorite poe1 skill, but it's just horrendous now. Don't even bother.

Flameblast - It seems to be the only viable skill for a full fire sorc, with help from ember fusillade for single target.
