Zalmarath, The Colossus Hitbox as Melee
I'm pretty much soft locked at this point with my multiplayer group. We just simply cannot deal anywhere near reasonable damage to him with his hitbox issues, and its not a gearing issue.

Yeah his left arm is the only thing that was working for me. I used a totem as well.

I am able to bring it down to past 50% health at which point the adds comes in thats whats kills me. My char is a 1h/ shield for the most part and I have to use totems and the elemental fireball that stays in place on the left arm.
For some reason my attacks do anything on the adds that explode and freeze. So the issue at this point is camera is too close, and only one place to hit the boss and the stupid adds that randomly get hit by my attacks. Almost makes want to stop playing, its not difficulty it is execution of the encounter. |

Yeah, this fight is bad on normal, thankfully by cruel hammer of the gods fixes a lot of the problem with its large hit area. On normal i just hit the left arm with armor break/normal attack. whenever it was available and used perfect strike when he slams down the hand and does the cracking lava ground attack
Also playing maps post patch, boneshatter/perfect strike/normal attack still whiffing in unmodded maps with supposedly 100% hit at 2m, sometimes my warrior gets locked and refuses to do anything for a few seconds, especially after rolling into walls, or getting in any way surrounded in tight corridors. I would strongly recommend switching to 2h honestly, i tried 1h and shield until midway through act 2 and aside from the movement benefit of charge, 2h was better in every way Last edited by kanoxuk#4589 on Dec 12, 2024, 11:53:31 AM

Fight is hilarious on a melee monk. You begin attacking on his left or right side and teleport to under his chin or far side without moving mid attack animation. Sometimes into his knife attack.
It's so janky. Totally needs to be debugged. I am already fearing this fight on harder difficulties. |

"The funny thing regarding this I saw is that the SRS minions actually float off the platform and attack his legs... because apparently he has hitboxes down there? Also, I noticed the same thing with spellcasting - unless my spells were hitting his arms, I was seeing nothing from them. I tracked it using Incinerate to see when the debuff started, and it only ever counted up if my spell was torching his arm. |
