Early access doesn't mean beta?
Spectacular failure on the launch, stuff happens we all know it.
But constant disconnects. a single white level 7 mob can 1 shot a level 12 warrior in rares and 800+ hp. No leech avalible, no flask regain unless a bossfight spawns minions. Bossfights that are customed to take at least 5-10 minutes if done at apporpriate level. You can tell since the boss grows TANKIER the further down his HP goes. Pace is off, spells lag behind. Casters are dead in the water after level 10. On top of it all you get stuck in trap-doors, terrain when you dodge and get disconnected if you use 2 many spells at once. Is this just a publicly funded beta? Last bumped on Dec 7, 2024, 8:56:07 PM

This is impossibly an Alpha buddy. here are my favourite screenshots from the past 5 hours.
https://tinypic.host/image/favourite-2.2XN8Ga https://tinypic.host/image/personal-favourite.2XN9UQ They postponed it by a month and delayed/doubled up on Poe 1's league despite swearing Poe 2 would not interfere with 1's leagues. They shouldn't have taken payment for this from new players. Last edited by Roccolicious#5452 on Dec 7, 2024, 6:51:26 PM

Its not alpha yes but its also not a finished game yet there still a lot missing like skills, the last 3 acts, mtx from poe1 etc.
The wikipedia entry also says "consumers can purchase and play a game in the various pre-release development cycles, such as pre-alpha, alpha, and/or beta Last edited by Fatoona#5814 on Dec 7, 2024, 7:08:59 PM

When you got a mirror invested in a league but can only do 22 challs. Stop the Credit card purchases in Poe 1 and maybe somebody will take your brown-nosing a flawed early release a bit more serious.
EA was promised to be a finished product, just not entirely released. They even postponed the launch. They even broke their promise of not letting Poe 2 affect Poe 1. They said it wouldn't cost, it ended up costing anyone who hasn't spent way more than games normally do 30$. And what was delivered? Poe 2 right now makes Last Epoch look like a success. |

yes, that is what early access is, its immediate access to an incomplete game that is still being built, and likely will not be finished for some months.
not to be mistaken with "early access" which AAA studios wash to mean pay us for 3 days extra of access to a finished game. GGG is using the term correctly, AAA studios are misleading you as to what you are paying for. sucks to find out this way, but early access always meant an incomplete buggy mess that you will be troubleshooting in exchange for having a seat at the developers table by being able to post feedback to the early access forum. |

It is not a publicly funded beta since the rewards you get are actually greater than using the same amount of money on the in game currency micro-transactions. You get the same amount of coins as you normally would but also you get to play the game before waiting on release and all the other gifts you get from the upper level access keys. It is to bring in some profit instead of waiting all the way till release for the opportunity not only to play but the opportunity to weigh in on continuing development and evolution of the game so that we can help make it great. Early Access is like Alpha testing. We get to help the developers see what is working and what is not and still get appreciation from the gifts we get with the packs.
