Demon Stitcher Intricate Gloves Unique Suicide

Might be intended but when I use a spell with these gloves equipped and less than 15% life it is killing my character, I may misunderstand but tooltip for sacrifice says you cannot sacrifice something you do not have and that it does not count as taking damage.

They dont kill me, but they also arent giving me ES in return for life like they are supposed to. SO they are broke either way.
