[SOLVED] Demon Form [Infernalist] Aborts on Spell Cast with Spell Level >= Demon Form Level

for me demon form worked with fine with any skill but when I leveled up (52->53) bonestorm (lvl 13) stopped working - all other skills work fine

@edit: lvl 12 works fine which is weird because it broke without me leveling the gem

please fix asap

For me Demon Form stops after any wand Skill use.

I tryed with a lvl 8 +2 chaos bolt and a lvl 6 VD wand.

All my other spells work fine, ED/contagion etc.

my Demon Form is lvl 8

I have the same issue. Demon form is level 8. I can no longer use spells i have upgraded to level 8 (contagion, bone storm, etc.).

Was using ED just fine until the fight with Zalmarath in Act 2. Just took me out of Demon Form whenever I use it now

So I have the feeling it might not be a bug but rather having something to do with the fact that weapon + offhand incl. stats will be "gone" during shapeshifting. This might cause any requirement not being fulfilled anymore and therefore aborting the shapeshift.
For me the problem was "solved" however after leveling up once demon form hits lvl9.
Then i just continued playing and so far I was not able to reproduce it anymore.

As an advice to you guys, check whether the weapon/offhand removal might be the reason why it aborts.

Pretty sure I worked this out. When you are in Demon form you lose the Intelligence from your weapon and offhand thus it is bringing you below the required intelligence for your skill.

I respeced a few passives into Intelligence and it solved the issue for me.

Hi, same problem here. I think i can confirm what WreakingBall is pointing out. When i transform into demon i loose some strengh from my weapons and can't use spells supported by strengh gems.
It's a bit frustrating that stats from weapon slot aren't retain in demon form. For exemple what happened if i want to make a ignite build whit The Searing Touch Staff? Am i Screwed ?

Same thing for Me intially i could use Demon Form With Essence drain but now after upgrading to lvl 8 i cant it takes me out
