Ultimatum Trial
|
The ultimatum mods are pulled straight from poe1 where a) it's endgame and b) you are in godmode compared to this. Even then it was doable until I needed to do the boss with a bunch of rippy extra mods on top. Kind of gauntlet level difficulty on a not gauntlet viable build.

GGG you need to be fixing this asap.. getting it at 38 I tried once got instantly killed, went and levelled came back I've tried four times and the furthest I've gotten is the 3rd area
I died twice on act I boss I died one time on act II boss I cleared Alva's temple easy ... This is not in the right spot of the game or you need to town it down better yet give us more loot so we can overcome it. |

Same here, went there at lvl 48(!) for the first time, with witch after easily breezing through content for quite some time, and I'm not able to complete it.
This bird boss is way overtuned, deleting me with 1khp and 800+es (counting overflow). I've seen something that boss should be random, but I've had him like 5times in a row? So not sure what is the case. Pool of available mods is too harsh as I had no tries with relatively forgiving mods, most of the time all 3 mods were no-go's for my char. Volatile orbs, vaal omnitect, corrupted blood beams, -resistances, almost every time. Plus forgot to mentioned that only two game crashes I had so far were in this trial Last edited by GetD4Groove#4898 on Dec 8, 2024, 4:51:51 PM

Ultimatum is psychotically overtuned in so many ways. The boss one shot deletes you even if you are quite overleveled, getting mobbed while trying to manage the degen from the soulstones and install them is really something, and the mods and their effects are way too intense for the "Cruel Lab" equivalent it's supposed to be.
There are some signs that things were not "thoroughly tested" and this is certainly one of them. |

I'm generally a fan of the difficulty of POE2 but this definitely needs adjusting. It on a totally different plane of punishment than anything else (at least in a first story playthrough).

+1
I've been enjoying the game in general, but this mechanic is just pissing me off now. I have no idea how it got the OK in this state, it's as if nobody even playtested it internally. The boss should not have 1shot mechanics when it takes 15 minutes of uncertainty to reach in the first place, and half of these mods should be toned down if not removed entirely, at least for the "quest ultimatum" for your second asc point, which is basically part of the campaign. |

I also think 38 is meant to be a joke, or we don't know the meta yet to trivialize the game. The few skills that seem to work with this, not knowing if they even enable at 38, are already nerfed.
Really sincere question: Did somebody beat this at level 38? And if so, how? |

In general the trials are stupid. Hated lab in POE, would rather have lab back at this point. Just a stupid concept.
For the ultimatum trial: Im 49, level 11 gems, 1000+ effective life (es and life), res capped across, and Im still getting clapped. Corrupted blood mod is a brick. The blood drop thing is a brick. Or other choices: always get critted, life/mana recoveery 50% slower, you get inflicted with poison AND bleed (I can mitigate bleed, but not poison)...this is insane. And we're supposed to complete 10 challenge areas with 10 modifiers? Theres no freakin way Im going to be able to do that. Or is it only four like the relic says |

Once you're trying to get your third set of points every trial debuff persists through seven trials and when you fail you have to farm up another attempt. I'm struggling to find gear upgrades even listed on trade and my level is in the 70s now and I still haven't gotten those point from an ultimatum where the area level is listed as low 60s. I would love to be able to get an attempt at an ultimatum just for my ascendancy points that has no other rewards where I can opt not to choose between mega juicing the last boss or creating infinite screen clutter.

So, do you have to do all 10 rounds? That seems a bit on the ridiculous side if so.
