PoE1 (and 2?) launcher feedback

Here are some of my pain points I want to share here:

1. The only time you're allowed to *change* the install location of where you're supposed to install your game to is in the "Options" button of the installer. And this is before you've even thought of proceeding with the game install. Given that the installer just installs a launcher into your selected disk drive, you think, "ehh, no big deal".

2. "Not so fast", the launcher says! Because once you start it up, it ruthlessly installs the game onto your drive without any way for you to change your mind. You need to wait for the launcher to "allocate space" from your selected install location of where your game is supposed to be on, and there is literally nothing you can do about it.
- Can't pause it, can't cancel it, can't change install location, PoE1 launcher literally makes you look at the patch notes followed by some progress bar that honest-to-god rubs in your face that the game is downloading! Yay, I guess?

3. I'm not currently experiencing any of the following issues I'm about to describe here but I need to list them because the feedback I've seen on the PoE2 launcher is... wow.
- Downloading errors: these often show up as error messages consisting of "couldn't download a file" followed by an URL. Expect to see this often.
- Patching server errors: Couldn't get a clear grasp of this particular issue that some people seem to have with the PoE2 launcher, but it's there.
- No way to account for connection errors, at all: I'm currently not experiencing any of that but this is apparently a long-standing issue with not just PoE2 launcher but the PoE1 launcher as well.

4. 99.99% download finished and it just stays there for as long as the launcher wants to for some reason.

Seems like there are a metric ton of similar threads consisting of tons of players having similar problems with these PoE launchers; not gonna bother compiling them all here, and definitely won't "necromance" them all to hell so new thread it is.
