Cannot use magnified effect in multiple skills

I am attempting to put magnified effect support gems into both unearth and contagion, but it will only allow me to socket one of the supports and tells me "Warning: your character is already using this support gem" when I attempt to socket the second magnified effect into a different skill. I have toggled off the game options for gemcutting restrictions as well as equipping restrictions.

To clarify, I can socket magnified effect into either skill but not both at once.

This is intended, you are limited to one support gem of a single type. It's to balance the fact that we'll be allowed basically as many six links as we want.

Gemling can get past this limit and socket two of the same type.

I see. Thank you for the information. I wish it were more explicit in this design choice, but I can get behind that.
