9800X3D 4080 super crash while at loading screens

Experiencing the same thing on my 4080/7800X3D system. Hard locks which require resetting the computer. Hopefully they can push out a fix fast, it happens once every 1-2 hours.

It's an issue with AMD CPUs and Windows 11 24H2. They are aware and working on a fix.

It happens to me when the game is loading and I alt-tab to set a YouTube video to fullscreen. So, I just don't do that anymore. No issue when already in fullscreen. I run my browser off the iGPU.
I cant even run the game anymore it just crashes when on login screen =(
I have been going crazy with this. I just built a new pc and was blaming the CPU or the undervolting. I have made so many changes and still have this happen.

The game will freeze I can hear sound and some times even move the mouse.

My pc fans go up and my icue software defaults to all white. Then I have to hard reset my pc.

Please how do we fix this!

I crash to desktop every 40 - 60 min during gameplay and loading portal to town, sometimes I get the error message in game : missing textures. Playing @4k max setting, native no upscaling, getting stable 120fps no fps drops.

Rtx 4090
Ram 64gb ddr5 6000 XMP

Latest nvidia drivers
Fresh windows install
Latest bios for x870e motherboard
Latest AMD cpu chipset drivers, stock cpu no overclock.
Windows 11 professional up to date.
I monitor my cpu and gpu temps are stable no thermal throttling.

This is the only game I crash, playing the latest games with no problems. I was using vsync, will try without.

It would be a good idea to automatically generate a crash report containing details about the error. If the devs wan my crash report and my diag pls let me know where to send the info.
Thank you.

Hello,
For this particular issue you should try to revert back to nvidia driver 561.09.
I had the exact same issue on (9800x3d/RTX4080/win10/4kgaming) but in my case it also occurred in STALKER2 and COD6.
I tried a lot of things: underclock cpu/ram/gpu, flash bios, change cpu (had same issue on 7800x3d), change memory stick, windows 10 reinstall etc... but the only thing that worked is the driver version 561.09 (i guess older versions should work as well).
Hope it help.
