9800X3D 4080 super crash while at loading screens
I have the latest NVIDIA Drivers. The game is hard crashing my pc at loading screens. My mouse veers off to the side of the screen and I need to reset the entire pc with the power button. My rig is strong enough to handle pretty much anything at 1440p max settings. I have never crashed in any other game.
Any one else experiencing this? I’ve seen several Reddit threads and steam discussions saying the say thing. While it seems more common among people with X3D CPU’s, some Intel users have reported the same type of crash. An update from devs would be nice. Last bumped on Dec 17, 2024, 8:17:45 AM

I've had that happen on my 7800X3D 4090 build. I suspect it is an issue attributed to W11 24H2. I rolled back to 23H2 and haven't had an issue for the past 9 hours of gameplay.

I haven't upgraded my Nvidia drivers yet and have def avoided Win11 24H2 so far.
Everything is running smoothly. I have an RTX 3060. ~ Please separate the PoE1 and PoE2 forums.

7800x3d and 4070 ti super have no issues and the game runs really smooth. Make sure vsync is off and update drivers?
Edit : Make sure you've updated the bios and changed the important settings in the bios also Last edited by PuRSuiT#7292 on Dec 7, 2024, 3:53:15 PM

I crash to desktop every 40 - 60 min during gameplay and loading portal to town, sometimes I get the error message in game : missing textures. Playing @4k max setting, native no upscaling, getting stable 120fps no fps drops.
9800x3d Rtx 4090 Ram 64gb ddr5 6000 XMP SSD Latest nvidia drivers Fresh windows install Latest bios for x870e motherboard Latest AMD cpu chipset drivers, stock cpu no overclock. Windows 11 professional up to date. I monitor my cpu and gpu temps are stable no thermal throttling. This is the only game I crash, playing the latest games with no problems. I was using vsync, will try without. It would be a good idea to automatically generate a crash report containing details about the error. If the devs wan my crash report and my diag pls let me know where to send the info. Thank you. Last edited by Seba2007#3315 on Dec 7, 2024, 4:47:29 PM

I have exactly same issue, with exactly same CPU and GPU. I've updated all of my drivers, but it keeps happening.
Also the fact, that game goes into loading loop while transferring to a different instance doesn't help as it crashes only on loading to login screen (after 1st animation, on 2nd one it crashes). PLEASE FIX THIS, I'd appreciate that very much. Love, Chris |

" I reverted back the update and I am still crashing. It’s definitely not a windows problem. |

It's an issue with AMD CPUs and Windows 11 24H2. They are aware and working on a fix.
It happens to me when the game is loading and I alt-tab to set a YouTube video to fullscreen. So, I just don't do that anymore. No issue when already in fullscreen. I run my browser off the iGPU. [3.26] Poor Man's Ward Loop: https://youtu.be/9zC-Q6a_MwY

The crashes are not limited to Windows 24H2.
Plenty of people in the bug forums with the same problems are running 23H2, myself included, and the game is still causing BSODs, freezes, crashes, etc... Windows 11 24H2 (Steam), AMD 5800X3D, RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB, 32BG DDR4 3200, Samsung 980 Pro SSD Last edited by Stormscourge#2254 on Dec 7, 2024, 7:26:08 PM
