Revive = respawn of all enemies? (Freythorn)

I do not know whether it is intended or not, but everytime I die in Freythorn, all enemies (except bosses it seems) are respawned as well.

This means that I die, fight my way to

, die underway and have to redo everything again...

Can confirm, this seems to happen almost everywhere. If you die to a boss encounter it respawns the entire area/map. Happened to me in Traitor's Passage fighting the boss there.

Like, great for xp... but miserable for actually progressing.
This is intended.

Bosses have a checkpoint before them so you will reset there if you die to the boss and don't have to go through the map, but things are supposed to respawn.

The checkpoints are neat and all, but when a boss is on one side of the map, and the exit is on another, and the waypoint is in a third direction... it seems really poor design to respawn every monster between those just because you died on the boss.

It's just extra tedium to re-clear all the enemies again especially with how large all the areas are.
Having this issue as well. All enemies respawned on death, and it even spawned an essence group in the boss arena. I doubt it's intended.

Don't forget if you die without picking up gear it all disappears too. Even when you kill a boss and their minions climb down and bum rush you. Ugh.
I'm pretty sure this is intended. At start i even liked it, but certain areas

made me hate this concept, as i leveled THREE! And i mean it, 3 times while traversing this area and dying.

I think it should stay like this, because going over empty area is not fun either, but we could really get more checkpoints. The areas are absolutely gigantic and repeating them unintentionally feels kinda bad.
