(PoE2) Entire Account Wiped of All MTX and Progress

I think I may have posted this on the wrong forum the first time...

Good morning

Games feels incredible so far, however I have been met with a critical issue that has reset my entire account after linking my Steam account. I initially (out of excitement i think) ignored the prompt when logging in through steam to "Link Accounts" and accidentally created a new steam account name through the Launcher after launching through steam. I realized I did not have access because I did not link my steam with PoE when prompted and there was no option to unlink that i could find.

I ended up downloading your private client and my account was all good. Had access to PoE2 and all my existing (and new) microtransactions, i played a few hours and got off. I tried linking my old steam through your website and it took a couple hours to get the email so i did it when i logged off for the night.

Logging on today, i tried steam first and it made me create a new character. I played to the town and realized i had no stash tabs and i reloaded the game to find my Witch i created last night is also gone.

I tried your private client thinking my stuff would still be there but it seems as though the Steam Linking has overridden my very old PoE account and now i have no Witch and no stash tabs and no cosmetics. My entire account is brand new even when logging in with the Email i use to access your website.

Please advise!
