Quarterstaff / "killing palm" / mixed melee feedback

Disclaimer that I only played a few hours and I'm at level 13 or something.

There are conditional skills that highly depend on correct timing and I noticed that if you hold the standard attack, the attacks will be chained or fast / faster than a more desirable skill. E.g. killing palm that gives you a power charge, but only if you last hit with THAT skill.

So my "gameplay flow" would be that I hold my standard skill, and I would like to interrupt that chaining with a particular attack, to get the bonus. That will currently not work.

The animation for killing palm in particular is extremely slow.

I'm playing coop so there is basically no chance to hit them reliably because I would need my coop partner to stop attacking to land my bonus skill.

I also noticed that single target melee skills "lock on" to enemies and if you keep holding the attack button, the character will continue to attack, even if you hit opposing directions wasd keys and point the mouse in a different direction (which would normally rotate the character).

So, e.g. my character is in the middle of the screen, there is one enemy below me, I start attacking, then I notice I want to run away, press "W" and move the mouse up, but hold the attack button, the character will not move and keep attacking.

Another thing is that the target locking. If there are two enemies, one is low and meets or nearly meets the conditions for killing palm and the other is at 50% or 60% and does not meet the conditions. Because of targeting imprecision, I select the wrong target. The target will not switch by mouse input to a different target as long as the button is held. I have to stop attacking, target the correct enemy and then restart attacking for "target switching" to work.

I'm not sure how much of that is intended, so I thought I would write feedback.
