second controller cannot be selected

Title says it all. Maybe it's just an issue because of the controller combo I have.

Version : steam
controllers : steam controller and xbox one controller. Both wired
connection : steam via a usb hub with no other controllers. xbox directly into the mobo.
launch method : steam and big picture mode

When selecting the controller for the second player the ui flips from the second controller to none. Although it does this, the first player controller selection has no issue switching between #1 or #2.

I am not sure if there is an ini file that I could edit directly? If I could update that file maybe I could force the setting.

I was able to briefly get this to work yesterday after unplugging the xbox controller from the usb hub and plugging it into a separate MoBo usb. Today I've had no success with this.

Affect : cannot play coop with my wife!

I'm not sure if this is a steam controller issue or game issue.

Okay, found a setting and now although the settings are still messing up when going to character creation the second play CAN join with their controller.

Big picture > settings > controller > Enable Steam Input for XBox controller.
