Gems. Unnecessary complicated mechanics.

All things with Gems are more complicated than in PoE1.

Downsizes of supports makes skills not worth to support. I had to use standard hit with bow on bosses rather than lightning Arrow max lvl with supports because it has 50% of standard hit DMG. It's joke.

How many hours do I have to play to pick iceshot? 20 hours will be enough? Means that after whole week of casual play I will be able to pick iceshot?

Why did you use this empty gems mechanics? Seems like unnecessary at all. In PoE1 scaling, leveling gems is easy to understand. If we can pick every available skill from menu, why we don't have just skills in vendor without this empty gems unnecessary complicated decision making bs. Seems like added unnecessary layer.

Does PoE2 makes players to use default hits as some kind mandatory? Is this mean that standard hit will be always in menu and we will not get rid of it? It is intended to Play standard hit more than skills with mana?

as i understood it, support gems do not neccessarily make your skill make more damage but rather change it's behaviour.
