Freythorn & Ominous Altars Feedback

Completing Freythorn I found the 'big' Ritual Alter 2nd, but there was no indication of what should be done, or if it was working. I think a dialogue note or something here would use useful to tell the player they need to cleanse the smaller altars first. (Used POE1 knowledge here to see that altars are usually in 3s / 4s. - Though counterintuitive with the single altar in the Hunting Grounds
Second, I full cleared the map and ran around it another time to find one of the altars I had missed (Right near the start) felt like a chore to find it, I was tempted to reset and see if it was just bugged. I think here it would be useful to have some sort of indication here as to where the altars are, if you've spent a certain amount of time in zone, or there are less than x monsters remaining. I saw there was a line type thing going from the main altar, but this was also pointing towards one that I had already cleansed so assumed it was just indicating that Great game so far though, thanks GGG for the hard work that has obviously gone into this! I thought it better to provide feedback in this thread rather than create a new one.
May I suggest rescaling the chaos damage? I just got hit by a single arrow, and despite using a healing flask I was dead in less than 2 seconds... I noticed this aggressive scaling in Freythorn before with other char's. I really enjoy a challenge, but a "you get you die" from a common mob is a bit too much. |
