Sorrow Among Stones Quest Bugged

I have retrieved the 2 keys from the tombs and given them to Lachlan. I opened the gate and he rushed through. I ported to Town to sell some items before I followed him to the monument and now he is just standing there. I cannot proceed. I have no prompt. The quest is stuck at - Follow Lachlan.

I just had this issue. Respawn at checkpoint from the menu fixed it for me.

I had tried that but unfortunately it did not do anything for me. Lachlann is still stuck there with no dialogue prompt.

he didn't even rush through for me. he's just standing next to his tomb after i openned the gate.

I am unable to interact with him and progress the quest.

Is there a solution or make a new character, however i don't want to encounter this again.
