Cursor position vs skill aiming? Skills don't aim at the cursor.
Game developed for consoles :) have fun :)

I'm having the same issue. Appears to be perspective. Aiming perfectly vertical is fine. As I move closer to the horizontal axis, projectiles are north of the pointer location, though.
Aiming at the feet of monsters roughly the same size as my character helps, however, if the target is close and to my right or left, I can fire a completely different direction from my target. This is horrible to play with projectiles. My sorceress isn't bad because I'm using mostly AOE spells, but the Merc I just started is terrible. Last edited by wfox761#6065 on Dec 10, 2024, 9:16:02 PM

"Exactly. It's just goofy to have the vertical axis perfectly inline with my aiming point, and the path of my missiles slowly diverge 25 degrees off angle, the further to the horizontal I go. I just want my arrows to track my mouse pointer all the time, not just attacks aimed directly north and south. Sometimes I might be trying to lead a fast moving target. Other times I'm trying to aim down a corridor, or along the path of incoming missiles. I want my ranged attack to travel down the exact path of my cursor, because that is where I am aiming. I don't want my missiles going four feet above where I am aiming. Watch This Video to see what is going on Last edited by Grimbleidd#5752 on Dec 14, 2024, 8:59:18 PM

" It seems to be an problem with the auto targeting. At least that seems to be my issue. |

I've really noticed this issue when playing ranger. It feels nearly impossible to hit anything on the first shot, i've gotta get out a test shot and then compensate for how offset it is.

This need to be tweak, it's really weird and feel not ok to play range like this.
Even if in POE 1 it's the case, the pace of POE 2 make this terrible, hard time to enjoy my Merc .../ |

YES, dude! I noticed that while playing my Ranger, and it is SUPER frustrating! Mana = wasted does not feel good...at all.

Yeah it's awful.
Posted in the bug forum many times by others but GGG has yet to acknowledge it. Maybe it's hardware or monitor related so not everyone has the issue? I can't imagine any world where the experience I'm having regarding this issue is identical to what others experience and it made it through any amount of playtesting. If this is how they intentionally designed it, whoever made that decision needs to be locked in a mental asylum. |

i also have this issue. not sure of the reason, but it's exactly as in the video. so tempted to ask for a refund because of this. i can't hit my targets becasue my bullets don't go where i aim... as said here, they are fine vertically but a huge offset when horizontal. sure i can try and offset my mouse when i shoot things left or right, but first of all, that's hard to do, especially when the offset changes based on height, and also, well i just bought this game and my bullets don't go where i fire them... really not a great first impression. it's a core mechanic! :(

I've started playing stampede, which as a travel skill it has some minimum travel distance or something, but I have definitely noticed where I put my cursor and where it is aimed are not the same thing. Usually it's not too far off and is manageable, but sometimes it just goes rogue and picks a random direction.
