Unrelated to the issue? Or incomplete uninstallation?

You think the game have two seperate issues resulting in the same kind of freeze, both when loading maps. One is related to 24h2, and one completely unrelated to 24h2?

Or do you just think that this one user, and several others have a random malfunction that results in the exact same type of freeze?

Some encounter the same issue even on win10, steamOS and linux, all completely different operation systems to win11.

It's just a problem with the game itself and GGG is aware of it.
Everyone trying to pinpoint the issue to win11 has either no idea what they are talking about, they hate win11, or they picked up something somewhere and feel the need to embrace themselves by showcasing their lack of knowledge to the public.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

500 pages and you still can't read. Understandable.

wine / proton are layers with win32 API (modern versions are not just a shim or wrappers like it was in early 00's), but sure they are all "different".

Several months gone by. Issue still not fixed. Worst yet, this guy is still out here boxing shadows and posting absolute nonsense in every comment he leaves. It's kind of admirable; the dude's got his own little ritual figured out.

I tried it, nope. it does not fix the issue for me at least.

Im trying out different things now. The latest patch did work for some, so I want to believe that there is some combination of settings that will also work for me. Right now Im testing playing in windowed mode. Probably wont work, but I have nothing else to try.

I had this bug few times now in PoE 1 actually. Dont think I encountered it in POE2 when I was playing it though and as far as I can remember the issue was not there before early access.

Also noticed that both PoE1 and PoE2 keep reverting the windowed fullscreen mode. Had it in PoE2, but it was happening after normally closing the client.

The hard crash bug that locks up the entire OS and requires manual shutdown by pressing the power button has been around for more than 2 months.

There is still not a fix in sight...

GGG is still blaming Windows 11 24H2 for it despite the fact that we are having this issue on Windows 10 too... (and Windows 11 23H2, and Linux...)

Once again I'm bumping with these questions, in hopes that maybe they will get answered by GGG's official staff:

1) What went wrong?

2) What you are doing to fix it?

3) What possible causes have you eliminated as the source of the problem?

4) What triggers have you discovered that starts the resource hog loop other than "zone change"? (This one is really important because it allows players to create workarounds)

5) What is your estimated time of fix?

6) How did this sort of bug managed to avoid detection in your testing period?

7) What you will be doing to compensate players that have been affected by this issue?

8) Whether refunds would be made available for those that are no longer interested in playing the game?

To other paying customers like me who have spent their money on this faulty product:

As long as GGG is not interested in open communication our only other option is to increase the pressure and warn others by giving a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam in a detailed and informative manner.
I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1.
What to do:
1)Write a short review about the hard crashes in notepad.
2)Copy and paste it to steam reviews, put up a negative review.
3)Copy and paste it to steam discussions, put it up there.
