Zone transition hard locking computer

Been running on Steam client, and every second zone transition or so hangs in loading screen, then locks up my whole PC requiring a hard restart.

7800X3D / 3080 12gb / 32 GB DDR5 6000 / NVME SSD / Win 11
All updates and newest drivers.

I've tried verifying local files, both controller UI and M/KB, and making sure that nothing else is open . Still happening.

Anyone else having this issue?

EDIT: Disabling Adaptive Vsync, and limiting the game's framerate in my NVIDIA control panel seems to have helped. Will keep testing if it comes back

EDIT 2: Nevermind, just happened again portaling back to town

Same issue, the computer slows to a crawl and slows down more the longer it's left alone and I have to hard reset.

9800x3d with 3080 Super.

Same issue, 3080ti / Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Using DX12, happens only sometimes. Rolled back driver (after trying new driver), still the same issue

Is your Windows 11 on version 24H2?

I was having this hard lock crash too and I rolled back to Windows 11 version 23H2 and the hard locking has stopped.

hmm, maybe an issue with x3ds, i have the same issue with 9800x3d

9800x3d hard locking as well. windows 11 24h2. latest nvidia driver. dx12.

Happening to me aswell although not as frequent. Happened 2 times in the last 2 hours. Quite annoying and i also think games literally freezing up your pc is an absolute high priority fix.
7800x3d, 4070ts, 32gb 6000mt/s (Setup is like 2 months old lmao) haven't run in any problems in other games. Running on Windows 24H2 Update if that matters
