Items disappear if you die on boss

Killed boss at the same time as he killed me, he dropped items. When I respawned all of the items it dropped disappeared, not sure if it's intended or not

I to have had this bug happen in the red vale. Boss killed me at the same time a dot killed him showing dropped loot respawned to get it and it had vanished.

Same thing happened to me. When I respawned I could not restart the fight (activate the totem). I tried portaling out and back in but I still could not restart the fight. I have not relogged in to test if I can active the fight again.

edit: So after I restarted the game I could redo the fight but I had to redo the whole map.

Same. Killed by boss, damaging ailments killed boss after I died, saw loot drop, respawned at checkpoint items are gone.
