Standalone Client Won't Patch

I'm getting the same error. I managed to download the game and start it earlier today

Maybe they are simply testing some scenarios like limiting bandwith, replacing unhealthy patch server nodes, scaling, things like this...

Got the same problem but i forced a bit and its started fine without any new patch to DL

Working now from steam.
I bought ea from standalaone, but added it to steam, and it works.

Still not working for me and I haven't even started the preload yet :(

EDIT: I uninstalled using the installer (I only had the launcher installed) and then ran the installer as admin. This time the launcher would start downloading the game

Currently the disconnecting message is appearing for me. I uninstalled and reinstalled the installer program, that didn't help. I have deleted the Content.ggpk multiple times but it also doesn't help. I did check logs and it seems that "patching protocol 7" is causing my issues. Most likely they are updating the game. Very unfortunate for me I guess.

Edit: I just ran the installer as Admin and that worked! Thank you to the above commenter!
