[0.3] Chronomancer Megathread. WIP.

heres a ice focused starter build I saw. focusing on nova.

This is not leaning into CD's much. so for chrono this would be sands of time, apex (slow mag stacking, chill, apex, curse), temp rift for durability, and either time freeze or recoup.

passive tree notes
--Glaciation was changed. its easy to pick out NEW stuff, but some of the old stuff changed, is not as obvious.
old glacation was 18% cold pen, and 25% increased cold exposure.
New glacation is 18% cold pen, and gain 6% of elemental damage as EXTRA cold damage.
kind of buff.

Enhanced barrier was also changed. nerf/sidegrade
used to be 25% increased max es, and +1% max elem resists.
its now, 25% increased mx es, and 5% of max life Converted to ES.
max resist cap is powerful. although, that 5% conversion is BEFORE mods.

-sands of time.
yeah, I mean I expected it to be pretty ok. no real downside anymore. its always doing SOMETHING, even if its a small something. how big of a nerf to aoe size we were going to hit was the major question. its mostly just not very thematic or exciting.

does the aoe and cast speed pendulum with each other, or against?

Got Elemental Equilibrium. 3/3/3 infusion stacks easy. Might need +max them.

Switched Arc for Ice Nova to spend cold infusion.

Just added Firestorm too. Probably will recored some gameplay. It's quite good.

Sands of Time were so underrated before 0.3 release.

It fits perfectly in current build, where both AoE and cast speed required.

jeah i also took ee + Fire Storm. IM Blasting thrue interlude currently. Ball + Warp is a nice combo. Hope it lasts through mapping
Im playing recoup&prue lightning&Arcmage.Arc and Snap can handle everything
Now in T14 and damage is quite enough
Thinking of the new Buff.I think chrono is better at it.We have the 20% delay of buffs,at most it can be about 25s per time
The new legend flask is also quite good for recoup, almost permanent 30 recoup,if you dont forgat XD

Against. When cast speed is max, there is 0 aoe and vice versa.

Anyway, yeah. I think it's ok to scale this thing.

Feels like Flicker, with an extra step. Fun af, honestly.

Warning - Lightning Warp doesn't work on Desert interlude final boss. I had to kill him with just wall, bomb, and ball lightning. Could switch LW to smth else, but was too lazy.

- Currently, support gems are all under the question.

- Also, there is Elemental Invocation w/ Ritual Cadence vs Cast on Ailment at current stage of progress. Former is probably better, but requires more investment in passive tree.

- I have to say, my cross-element build works just fine. Too many decent interactions. Fully operational Echoing wheel: Infused Ball Ligthning ignites, Ice Nova chills, Bl+LW shocks. All guaranteed.

- Firestorm is sh*t, even fully infused. Dps is just too low.

- Trigger spells do consume infusions.

- Cast on Ailment works surprisungly good on bosses. Better than CoF did.

- I still haven't planned anything in PoB2, but here is the passive tree:

- I'll do a PoB2 and a gameplay video right after i reach maps or so. Currently need to finish interlude still, and then make adjustments for maps.

Archon is just a self imposed pendulum! I won't fall for that!
I ended up going for a ED+Contagion build with Living Bomb and Fireball for extra clear. At Act 4 level 52 looking for good Evasion/Strength pieces so I can respec to something a little more fun.
Now i'm in ~t9 maps on Cold Chrono.

After trying some stuff.

Eye of Winter does good damage, with triple element passing and flame wall. And it just sounds interesting to have 6 cooldowns with Time Snap.

But Frost Darts are just better.
- No need for Time Snap which saves 4 points.
- No mana issues, since Eye of Winter cost a lot.
- Less buttons.
- No downtime, you constantly doing damage.
- But you can't really AoE with it like with Eye of Winter.

Also since Frost Darts and Ice Nova use Cold Remnants, i'll be trying Ice Archon setup in few days.

I'm kinda lucky with gear now, so i got to 160 Spirit which allowed me to use Siphon Elements, Arctic Armor and CoC Snap. CoC Snap just for -1 button.

https://poe.ninja/poe2/builds/abyss/character/PaintMaster-2396/Cooldown_ENJOYER - me.

Current tree is for Eye of Winter with AoE and Skill Duration on set 2 for Flame Wall and Orb of Storms. Besides that it's mostly same as in 0.2.

yeah. given how much work it was going to be, and dealing with that 15s cd... I was kind of expecting to just stick to jarts as well.

For the now, I finally finished work, and am sitting down again to play.
act 2. I swapped over to frost nova prime, with jarts to kill bosses.

echo-fast cast in nova. honestly it works pretty well. decent aoe. chill keeps you alive. sets up frost jarts.
even without the flame walls.

can bomb and orb of storms as needed.

frost jarts. I dont think the "chance to fire extra proj" are worth. its just so point heavy, for so little.
nice
