Gifting friend early acces

So I wanna gift my friend early acces, he playes via steam, I read online to not give a key because it will only give acces to library smth smth here is a quote from online "Make sure you are not sending the Steam or Epic library activation key. Thats the important part, that only adds the game to the library but no actual access." So how am I suppose to do this without sending him money to buy itself? I want it to be a surprice

Once the key is registered its "used up" so that's basically a warning to be careful not to give away the key unwillingly. You should give it to him, and he can then register it in his account on the website. Now its a bit confusing with steam I am not using it myself. But the bottom line is that's what you gift that number that's the key, unless you want to gift the whole pack, that's possible too.

In the Steam app, go to the store front and search POE2. When there, click to pre-purchase the Early Access Supporter Pack. When you add it to your cart, select "This is a gift" in the dropdown menu. That should work for you.
