POE2 steam key

Hello, my friend got EA key for spending 480$+ on POE1, but he cant play it so he gifted his steam key to me. My question is, do i need to activate key on my steam account and i will gain EA by doing so or i need to do something more?

Hey there,
The Steam Client Key does not provide Early Access to an account, they only allow the person who uses the Client Key to see the Path of Exile 2 in their Steam Library. People should not be sharing their Client keys. | |
