Add Simultaneous Controller and Keyboard + Mouse Support on PC Client

Hi all,

I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the combat in Path of Exile using a controller; it just feels really good. However, when it comes to inventory management, crafting, or town activities, I find that a mouse and keyboard are much more efficient.

Currently, the PC client requires you to choose either "Controller" or "Keyboard + Mouse" as your input method. If I want to switch between the two, I have to log out, go to the menu and change the input method, and then log back in. This disrupts the flow of the game and can be frustrating when frequently transitioning between combat and non-combat activities.

It would be really cool if GGG could add an option for simultaneous or hybrid support for both controller and keyboard + mouse. This would allow players to seamlessly use a controller for combat while retaining the precision and convenience of mouse and keyboard for inventory management, trading, and other tasks that tend to be fiddly on a controller.

Many modern games with controller support already offer this functionality, and implementing it in Path of Exile would enhance the overall quality of life for players who prefer a hybrid play style.

This is one of the most important features I'm looking for as well. I love combat with controller but don't want to log out to use mouse+kb.

I bear good news. During one of the Q&As (I forget which one), it was said that this is something they plan to work on. It's unlikely to be very soon, but hopefully by full release.

I was really hoping it would be included in the pre-release but hopefully soon. I'm no expert but it doesn't seem like something that should be very difficult to do, since they already have controller support and mouse/kb support, just need a way to allow switching between the two without having to restart the game like so many other games offer.
