One thing that D4 and LE did better than POE

I don’t think anyone disagrees with the OP.

First, GGG setup a separate server for Taiwan already. It's not part of China server, and they don't connect to each other.
What's frustrating to me is, Taiwan server doesn't connect to international server as well. I have been playing with the same group of friends in D4, Last Epoch, and other games. It seems not a technical challenge at all, but a bad decision that sacrificed QOL of lots of players. I noticed some earlier responses showed carelessness because this issue doesn't affect them, but I want to shout out loud here. Bad decision is bad decision, I hope GGG can see this post and make change to it. | |
" Why do you believe this is a decision of GGG? [Removed by Support] Also GGG is owned by tencent which is a chinese company [Removed by Support] Meaning, taiwan has the chinese version of poe, and by god, i don't want any crossplay with that p2w hell ;) Forgot we can't talk about political realities, but you can savely assume, its not the decision of GGG Current Build: Penance Brand God build?! https://pobb.in/bO32dZtLjji5 Last edited by tsunamikun#0433 on Nov 28, 2024, 10:56:49 AM

" Politics; culture; economics. GGG had to jump through a lot of hoops in order to get PoE to 'work' in China. Censorship of phenomena related to death (ie. skeletons and blood) are censored in China. This was not a GGG decision but rather a response to cultural norms/expectations/taboos in China. As for South America... not sure where you are going with that... I've been on the Brazil servers myself at times. There's devils on each side of you with bottles in their hands.
You need one more drop of poison and you'll dream of foreign lands. |

I don't know why people keep mentioning China. I didn't ask GGG to make political statement or change how they work with Tencent. Despite Tencent bought majority shares of GGG, GGG is still operating as a standalone company. I believe GGG has strong say in how they want to run their operation given they are going to bring in so much revenue in POE2.
I only ask to be able to play with my friends who live in Taiwan, like I did in other games. Taiwan is outside of Chinese firewall, so technically it's not a difficult thing to do. They should do it because it's an important feature to me and to a lot of players. |
