POE2 Class Question

Is there an offical statement from GGG`s on why they have removed the Scion class in Path of Exile 2?

I cannot find anything regarding that topic, neither in formu`s/posts nor Q&As

I would appricate some insight on that decision.

There are a total of 12 classes now, 6 of which have not been fully completed, so they are unavailable at launch. The scion could I guess be there but I highly doubt it. I am fine with losing the 1 'freestyle' class for 6 new base archtypes tyvm.

Nothing I heard of, but I guess they decided to scrap her to be able to make the 12 that will be available in POE2 at launch.

We will have 2 classes for each attribute and 2 for each hybrid. A 13th would stick out I guess. Even in POE 1 she is extremely niche.
