Concerns About UI Design and Action Bar Mapping in PoE II

(doubt we will get mouse wheel)

The mouse wheel can easily be rebound using either your mouse's software or third-party programs like X-Mouse Button Control. I always do this when a game doesn’t support binding actions to Mouse Wheel Up/Down, MMB, or other mouse buttons. So, fortunately, that’s not really an issue.

all that is against ToS, contacted them number of times about this

I am pretty sure, as I looked it up once, that as long as a single button press—whether on a mouse or keyboard—sends only one keypress to the game, and nothing more, it’s not against the ToS. For example, if I reconfigure my keyboard so that pressing "A" sends the signal for "B," that’s still within ToS. The same principle should apply to a mouse. If I remap "MMB" to act as "A," that’s fine too, as long as it doesn’t send both "MMB" and "A" simultaneously. Similarly, remapping the mouse wheel (e.g., MWHEEL UP/DOWN) is acceptable as long as it doesn’t send its original output along with the remapped signal—it must remain one output per single button press.

What is definitely against the ToS, however, is when a single button press sends multiple signals or a string of actions. For instance, if pressing "A" sends "AB," or if a macro executes a sequence of multiple button presses and pauses, that would violate the rules.

If you believe my interpretation is incorrect, could you please provide an excerpt from the ToS that clearly contradicts this?

Think he is referring to the third party application bit, not finding a clip sorry and don’t know if it would apply to your apps

Any perceived disrespect is unintended, I have High Functioning Asperger's and its socially inept.
I have heard very well-known streamers mention on stream that they use X-Mouse Button Control for re-mapping scroll wheel to left click for fast item pick-up etc. Now that doesn't mean it isn't against ToS, but it suggests that GGG is fine with that. Same thing goes for 1-button logout macro, hideout macro etc.

they are fine with that till they are not. some ppl did receive a ban for remapping like this. what triggered the ban? i have no idea. when i pressed this issue with a clear yes/no question, i did not receive a yes/no answer. it is a grey area, an area i will stay away from

Yeah this kind of arbitrariness sucks. Not a bad call to stay away from it.

I take opinions of people who "got banned and don't know why" always with a grain of salt. 99% it's either botting/cheating or buying RMT anyway and then they claim it's because they used a logout macro or because they remapped keys in X-Mouse Button Control, in the end people know why they got banned if they really think about it, mostly they try to play other people for fools and claim they're the victim.

Anyway back to the original topic ...
