Early Access Supporter Packs for someone who meets $480 requirement
Hi, I have some questions regarding Early Access keys and Supporter Packs. After thoroughly reading the FAQ and some staff posts, I'm confused on a couple of topics and would greatly appreciate clarification. Here is my situation:
- After reviewing my transaction history, I know I easily exceed the $480 US lifetime purchases threshold to be entitled to a free key. - I am aware that said key will be applied to my account at some random point between right now and PRIOR(??) to 6 December 11:00 AM PST. - I exclusively play on PC through Steam. - I merged my account on this website with Steam way back in October of 2013, when Steam compatibility was introduced at the launch of patch 1.0. The only time I ever used the standalone client was during open beta, when it was the only method to play the game. - As a result of above, my game client does NOT show any sub-accounts on the character select screen. - I intend to purchase either the Warlord of the Karui or Liberator of Wraeclast Supporter Pack (leaning toward the latter). - I want to purchase the pack through the official Path of Exile website. - Ideally, I want to give the 3 or 5 keys from my Supporter Packs to my friends, while utilizing my free Early Access for myself. 1) If I purchase one of those two packs prior to receiving my free EA key, what happens to the free key when it arrives? 2) I wish for my Early Access to be granted on Steam. 3) Do I need to wait on my account being flagged for free prior to purchasing my pack? 4) The FAQ's wording suggests that my Early Access flag and email/PM may not be sent in time for launch. Is that the case, or am I guaranteed to have it applied prior to December 6? To summarize, I would like to purchase either the $240 or $480 Supporter Pack through this website's storefront, be able to give away 3 or 5 keys to my friends, while receiving my entitled Early Access flag that I can then use to download and have access to the Steam client before Early Access goes live. This is so I can log in straight away at 11:00 AM sharp that morning and not have to fret about downloading the client or if my account has been flagged yet, assuming the servers withstand the onslaught of people that will hopefully include me. My antsiness stems from the wording of official communication regarding EA. Because my account here is the only one I use, but exclusively play via Steam (linked to the official website), will flagging my account allow me to add PoE 2 to my Steam library and play it? I am also concerned about how long it will take before I receive my free key, and due to the first key from a Supporter Pack automatically flagging your account, I am unsure if my free one will be lost to the aether if I grab a pack before it's applied. I appreciate that GGG support staff is slammed right now, and will likely continue to be for several weeks, so I want to make the purchase, be able to log in via Steam on time, and have the spare keys dished out, all without needing to compose an email to your team because I did something wrong or jumped the gun. I am only writing this thread in the first place because it's unclear to me how this will work, and in hopes of answering this question for not only my benefit, but for anyone else in a similar set of circumstances. The phrasing of this procedure as well as the number of platforms PoE 2 is on makes it a lot more complicated than it appears at first blush, hence the extreme length of this post. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Kind regards! Last bumped on Nov 24, 2024, 11:48:16 PM

If you have not done so already, please email us at support@grindinggear.com so that we can look into this matter for you.
If you could please include your account name and 2-3 character names that would be greatly appreciated. Please be aware that we currently have a large amount of support requests and this request will take some time. | |
Understood. Thank you very much for the reply. I posted here asking for clarification before sending an email because of exactly what you said regarding your ticket volume. I didn't want to unnecessarily add to it!
