Luxury goods are typically priced consistently worldwide, and no one expects them to be cheaper in certain regions simply because of local economic conditions. By this logic, regional pricing for such optional items is unnecessary, as they are not essential to anyone's well-being. If you can afford them, great; if not, you can simply do without.
