I got hacked but 3 of my items were left untouched
I got hacked, but its probably my fault i had a short password( its much longer now). I'm not here to complain about the hack.
Any ways what I wanted to say was that two of my items where left untouched with all there gems, still equipped, I have a headpiece that has the item effect (curved horns) a dagger that has the purple item affect. also I have an ethereal knives with the shrunken affect. Why where these items untouched? if they would of had access to my items the same way I do, they could of simply just took the item affects off and removed the gems and sold the item. so is this some different kind of hack or something.. I dunno so in some way I hope this helps towards stopping future hacks or something. I just thought it was worth mentioning. |

I don't think the bots that strip accounts know how to remove the transactions. and items with those cannot be traded or deleted.

Hi there,
I'm so sorry to hear about your account. Microtransactions are not able to be transferred from one account to another, this is why hackers are not able to remove these from your account. Hackers are also known to only take the most valuable items and leave the rest behind. I strongly recommend that you change the password of your Path of Exile account and the associated email to separate complex passwords that are not used for any other accounts. There are many ways that people will hack accounts, but they will be unable to do so unless they also have access to your email address. This means that your personal information has some how been compromised and a simple change of password may not be enough to insure that your account is protected in future. Chris has written some very helpful posts that explain the common ways that people have their security breached, and also some useful tips on how to secure your account against hackers. I recommend checking them out here: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/115464/ and also here: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/172532 If you have any further issues or questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at "Support@GrindingGear.com" Again, I'm so sorry to hear about your item loss! Kind regards, Bex |
