Searching for 8 mod Corrupted maps in my Map Stash is Annoying AF

I've noticed that when I search my Map Stash for "corrupted" to highlight all the corrupted maps, I have to manually click every type of Map once for the Search to refresh and Highlight Maps in that Substash. Normally this isn't a problem, just click every type once and pick out the one you want after that. The problem starts when a non 8 Mod Map gets highlighted, and I leave it in. After scrolling down a bit, the Game automatically jumps back up to the already highlighted map every time the search refreshes, so every time I open a new Map Substash. This leads to a situation where, when I find a corrupted map in the first row, I have to manually scroll back down to Row X after every click, and this is annoying.
Is there a Better way to filter out my 8 mod Corrupted maps, or do I have to put up with this shit ?

Could use a regex that filters for high item quantity. Its very difficult for most non 8 mod maps to get over 100.

One very weird way of doing it is making your map tab public and then searching for 8 mod maps from your account on the trade site, it would not highlight them but its a decent-ish way of verifying you got all of them.
Yes! This is extremely annoying, not just for 8 mod maps, but any search on maps. If you don't pull out every one that is highlighted by the search, it jumps back to ones you don't take out when you are trying to scroll.

Does anyone know exactly why it works like this, or have some insight to why it might be implemented like that? I'm not certain it is a bug, but would like to know more, so I can suggest to GGG that it be improved.

OP is asking for a work around, which would be helpful, but I think this is a design flaw. It makes it very difficult to interact with. Perhaps this is helpful for some people if they want to not miss pulling some out, but I do not find it to be useful. There are some other minor things as well, like highlighting, that could be improved on the maps tab, but this is one major thing that I think needs to be improved.

Unsure why it works this way, but yes, it can be annoying.

Personally, i bypass this function once i start farming exclusively 8 mod corrupted maps by filtering out all but maybe 8-10 map names that i think are either worth selling or running. Thus my map tab shows all the maps in two lines without any jumping. Of course i miss out on some sales of maps but its minor given how the games change since the addition of Nameless Seer.

For example, i hide ALL non-corrupted maps, then replace the corrupted map mod entry. That entry i put in a Basetype additional filter for the specific maps i will keep. As shown below, this entry is above all the other map mod filters. It'll still show the occasional lower tier map but i just ignore those or you could put in an additional MapTier >= 16. Prior to this change, ALL existing map in my T16 section I move into a normal dump tab so I start with an empty tab.

Show # $type->maps->corruptedspecial $tier->mod8
Corrupted True
Identified True
Class == "Maps"
BaseType == "City Square Map" "Tropical Island Map" "Beach Map" "Arid Lake Map" "Basilica Map" "Belfry Map" "Bog Map" "Canyon Map" "Castle Ruins Map" "Cemetery Map" "Colonnade Map" "Conservatory Map" "Crimson Township Map" "Dark Forest Map" "Dunes Map" "Estuary Map" "Glacier Map" "Jungle Valley Map" "Lava Lake Map" "Leyline Map" "Mausoleum Map" "Mesa Map" "Park Map" "Peninsula Map" "Promenade Map" "Racecourse Map" "Shore Map" "Silo Map" "Strand Map" "Toxic Sewer Map" "Underground Sea Map" "Wharf Map"
HasExplicitMod >=8 "a" "e" "i" "o" "u" "y"
SetFontSize 45
SetTextColor 255 255 255 255
SetBorderColor 255 255 255 255
SetBackgroundColor 85 0 85 255
PlayAlertSound 5 300
PlayEffect Purple
MinimapIcon 0 Purple Square

Thanks for providing your work. Sounds like people are coming up with some good ways to handle it, but shows if you are going to that effort that it is causing some problems.

It seems buggy to me that it works like that. Maybe not technically a bug, but something where the design doesn't understand that the player is not always pulling them all out. Hopeful with a few people now bringing it up they might be able to fix it. I have been encountering it for a long time now, but because it is not a game breaking problem, is hard to describe and doesn't become a problem until the endgame, I have not been able to articulate it well on the forum. I hope the Devs see this and make a QOL improvement on the next league.

Another workaround:
Use Neversink or whatever ro give your 8-Mod Maps a specific color.
You then can put them in a Stash-Tab of your choice.
OR: Take all Maps out of their specific Tab... go to coast or wherever.. and drop them all on the ground. The 8-Mod ones will have the color you gave them on neversink.

Please dont do this, so much wasted time.

The real solution is just farm all your own 8-mod maps using the corrupting cartography scarab, and when doing so, set the map affinity on a quad tab to auto-dump to.
