Using Hinekora's Lock on Simplex Amulet is not working

I've added Hinekora's Lock to a non-influenced, non-corrupted Simplex Amulet. The Lock is applied to the amulet however, when I hover the amulet with any currency, I can't see the result of using the currency item. Any thoughts?

What currency are you hovering it with? Alchs, Binding, Chaos?

I am hovering with Divines, Chaos and Reflecting Mist. Basically, any currency.
