Trying to sell bulk (in this case scarabs for chaos) trades sometimes show up as complete, but have only filled less than 10%, and you have to relist the remainder (basically the whole lot) and repay the gold cost.

Because you’re selling for example 30 scarabs for 45chaos, which is 1.5 chaos per scarab. Can’t trade half a chaos. You can prevent that from happening by going for whole numbers
It's because of irregular rates you have set. If you list a scarab for 3.3257246 chaos each, and someone buys some for 3c each, you get a better rate and the rest of the trade cannot be fulfilled. If you list for 3.25 each or other similar fraction, then more likely to fulfill the whole order except potentially last few if better rate is found.

Also, double check your gold the next time you claim it. I haven't checked in weeks since I swapped to better ratios and rarely get partials now, but I've had other community members tell me they get partial gold back when they took the items back.
It happens quite often and what I think is happening is when you choose two non-divisible numbers (mutual primes) to trade. Maybe the first partial fill of the order results in a new exchange rate that would no longer make you the best trade and the newly calculated rate is too far from your original rate so it finalises the order?
Thanks to the comments to the above posters, but it's a different to the case of the trade completing due to a few c and items left over. This is the other end of the spectrum where e.g. I trade 101 c for 67 scarabs and it completes with 7 c and 61 scarabs left over....
That sounds exactly like what I posted.

You listed 101c/67s = Or 1.50746268 etc chaos per scarab. So if any better ratio is found, the rest of the rate is unfillable. The only way to circumvent this is not use irregular numbers as the odds of someone buying exactly 67 scarabs for 101 chaos is very low. Had you done 66 for 99 chaos instead for an even 1.5 ratio, no problem finding buyers.

However, those return numbers do not seem accurate or my math skills are lacking without my caffeine yet. That maths out of 7 chaos for 6 scarabs, or a ratio of 1.16667 chaos per scarab. Which is less chaos than the rate you are asking for or the numbers are off.
That doesn't make sense in terms of how exchanges work. If the price is 1.5 c per scarab and I'm selling for less than that it should be selling my scarabs first. e.g. 66 scarabs for 98c should be beating all 2 for 3 deals. Any 2 for 3 deals should be partially filling my sell order first.
I'm sure there's some technical reason. It's the first league with it for testing and it works fine if you adjust the rates accordingly. We'll see what happens next league.

I'll take this current system over the website trading any day.
Of course the system is better, it's just strange that when I post a bunch of bulk trades I get a 10-30% failure rate if I undercut.
