Cast when stunned support with Divine retribution
Divine retribution should be able to be triggered by Cast when stunned support as the skill is spell thats without reservation cost or any other limitation stated on the trigger support gem/s as the same is true for other retaliation skill gems and Cast on damage taken support gem
either tooltip for the trigger gems is wrong and should be updated to clearly state that they do not work with retaliation skills or they SHOULD work with them as personally i cant see no reason why they should not. Last bumped on Aug 14, 2024, 10:10:57 PM

Cast when Stunned is a trigger support. Divine Retribution has the line that the skill cannot be triggered.

" Sometimes the limitations are on the skill gem themselves. Divine Retribution's effect description states that it cannot be triggered; similar text can also be found on Link skills and Frozen Legion, and there are more skills that will say that they can't be used by Totems, Traps, or Mines. |

" you are right i totally missed that - shame although the same cant be sayd for the rest of the retaliations that do NOT have that anti trigger line yet the Cast on damage taken support indicates tehm as "unable to support" so maybe it would be better to write the exclusions into place where one would expect it - on the support gems |

Because cast when Damage trigger support (and stunned) works with spells only, not attacks. The rest of the Retaliation skills are all attacks. Retribution is the only spell retaliation so they pre-emptively removed the ability to be triggerable at all (I'd 100% use it as triggered spell if I could).
I don't play attacks very often (playing Shield Charge ignite atm which can barely be considered an attack), but afaik the majority of trigger supports are for spells only. Minus the curse ones or niche ones like bow/wand attacks. So adding cannot be triggered on quite a lot of attack skills in the game seems a bit excessive. |
