A couple questions

So I have been playing a while now, got my main who is a Templar to 59 now and I'm pretty sure he is going to be a lightning strike guy. Right now there are just a couple things i need to know before I continue my build.

First, how important is static blows and shock in general in a ls build? I see it a lot in the builds Ive looked at but with resolute technique i wont be shocking things that much and its pretty out of the way. With the 2 nodes and conductivity i could get shock chance up to like 30% i think.

Second, how come I never see iron grip picked up in ls builds? My guy has like 300 something strength which would add about 70% damage to the projectiles, isnt that worth it?

Finally, how much is a higher quality lightning strike gem worth? I have not really started doing any trading so i dont know that market and i dont want to get ripped off or look like a noob making retarded offers.
